Hey Marty
What a great photo. Icy poles! Whoever took the photo is in on the fun. Your mum looks great. My folks both died in the last few years. I miss standing back and watching the interaction of my parents and my children. My dad’s birthday was a week or so ago – he made a steam engine when he was 14 back in the 50s, and I got it and fired it up. Worked beautifully. Nice. Happy times. I’ll reread Unqualified Teacher.
Good on yas all.
Dear Marty,
My deepest condolences to you and your family,

I read the story related to your mother, and I was taken aback by her determination. You and your family have my condolences.
Marty,
Nice photo!
Your mother seems to be clearly demonstrating one of Bertram Russell’s suggestions for a happy and long life namely
” let your interests be as wide as possible and your reactions to the things and people that interest you be friendly …”
