Mungo MacCallum 1941 – 2020
This awful year just continues to give. It probably wasn’t because of his pure maths degree, but Mungo MacCallum had been a great writer and a great journalist just about forever. Mungo’s short farewell to us can be read here.

I just read MM’s obituary in the Age written by Richard Walsh . RW said he transferred from an English to a Maths degree midterm because he had to write less essays. Seems like a maverick to me…
