Look Up

Don’t Look Up is no masterpiece. It definitely ain’t Kubrick. But it is good. It is farcical and funny, and it hits many targets very well. The fact that so, so many smug reviewers got it so, so smugly wrong is as good a summary as any of the movie’s value.

  1. There are many great scenes.
Non-Spoiler: My favourite is the post-credits scene (so make sure you stick around for it).

  2. Bunch of creative class wankers prattling on about how smart they are and how dumb (and declasse) the rednecks are. Wow. What a fucking insight! When I was literally looking at things through the scope with the crosshairs, I didn’t have a lot of NPR sophisticates hanging out with me.
