The Sly Way

With apologies to Paul Anka. Be prepared to lose.

And now, the end is near
And so we face the final curtain
My friend, I’ll say it clear
I’m so sick of ACARA’s blurtin’
All they had, a load of bull
As they barrelled down the highway
And more, much more than this, they went a sly way

Regrets, they’ve had a few
But then again, too few to mention
They did what they’d want to do
They rammed it through, ignored contention
They planned each cunning course
Each careful step of their con play
And more, much more than this, they went a sly way

Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When they bit off more than they could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
They’d think up crap and spit it out
They faced it all, they had the gall and went a sly way

  1. You’re a poet Marty.

Maybe if we get a few vodka shots into you this can be recorded as a music video?

    1. Yep, the Emily Dickinson of education critique. I plan to have a few shots tomorrow. Maybe we can play Curriculum Bingo.
