All of it, not just the maths!
I agree. I have a collection of mathmatics’ textbooks from Singapore (in English). Continue the good work. Just remember: do not believe in constructivism, in investigations, in PBL (Problem based learning), in projects, in computer based learning, etc. It is all BS! Unless these ideas are used outside the classroom, merely as homework!
But Solange, what about all the visitors to this blog who come for the constructivism and the investigations and the PBL and the CBL?
Well, you can ask them to do their homework and provide, at least one meta-analysis about each one of these BS (and other BSs that I forgot). As far as I know, it is all no evidence based BS.
It was a joke …
One of Singapore’s main achievements is to prove that in the modern era, it is possible to write a maths curriculum that a maths teacher can understand (and probably even a parent)!
I think ACARA’s achievement is much more impressive: they’ve proven that one can write a mathematics curriculum that *no one* can understand.
🤣
ACARA just need to add music and they’ll have achieved Lehrer’s Gilbert and Sullivan standard.
That’s very funny. A patter curriculum.
